Title of Presentation:
Local Anaesthesia in Implantology
Abstract Summary:
In dentistry, local anaesthesia is our lifeline for controlling pain. We are still following hypodermic syringes and wider gauge needles with multidose vials of local anaesthetic. It is time to upgrade ourselves to a not very new cartridge and thinner needles for delivery of safe volumes of new anaesthetic solutions. We have added air polishers, piezotomes, physiodispensers, implants, lasers, radiosurgery, RVG, CBCT machines to the repertoire of our dental offices but did not upgrade our local anaesthesia. Now is the time to add cartridges, ideal needles, articaine, lignocaine, self-aspirating syringes and provide pain-free anaesthesia to our patients. Let’s understand its technique, armamentarium and advantages. “Dental Surgeon – Learns the new needle.”
